Moses Lake situated along Interstate 90, is a great destination resort area offering many activities in the area.
Favorite things to do while in Moses Lake are canoeing, fishing, bicycling, hiking, wildlife photography and bird-watching. Families enjoy the Moses Lake Family Aquatic Center complex and kids thrill to the Skateboard Park.
Moses Lake has three museums for the history buff. Moses Lake Museum and Art Center has the largest collection of American Indian artifacts in the area. Moses Lake Community Park is a day-use facility.
Potholes State Park is open year-round. Both parks provide a boat launch and access to a variety of fishing opportunities. In the Potholes Recreation Area, there are 40 lakes along with the Potholes Reservoir that are open for fishing throughout the year, plus 20 additional lakes that open March 1st.
The official bird list for the Columbia National Wildlife Refuge includes over 200 species in the 23,200 acre area. Call the Refuge at (509) 488-2668 for further information about the 22 mile scenic auto tour, interpretive sites, maps and seasonal activities.
Five golf courses are in the vicinity of Moses Lake and nearby Othello. The Old Hotel in Othello is a community landmark. Built in 1912, the facility functions today as a visitor center and art gallery featuring local and northwest artists. |
